Pointing a brick wall is not a difficult operation as the video shows. All it requires is patience and a bit of practice. Pointing a brick wall that has become tired and jaded over the years is a magnificent way to improve the aesthetics of either a building or a garden wall. I personally love the fact that london stocks can be made to look as good as new with fresh repointing  The London Stock is a very tough durable brick that can last hundreds of years if the pointing is in good condition. The old garden wall in the video was given a complete facelift by raking out the old loose pointing to a depth of about 15mm and repointing completely. This is a job that is well within the capabilities of the average diy`er and one that affords enormous satisfaction when the work is completed.
